Section 2, Sentencing Rules

- Sentences shall be calculated on a points system:
- Judges should rate each of the following on a scale from 1 to 10, with 10 being the worst:
- Harm caused by the Offence;
- Intentions behind the Offence;
- Need for the public to be protected from the Convict;
- Remorse shown by the Convict;
- Judges should rate each of the following on a scale from 1 to 5, with 5 being the worst:
- Conduct of the Convict in court;
- Potential for reoffending;
- Judges should then total their ratings;
- Totals above 43 shall result in a Category A Sentence;
- Totals above 30 shall result in a Category B Sentence;
- Totals below 31 shall result in a Category C Sentence;
- Judges should rate each of the following on a scale from 1 to 10, with 10 being the worst:
